Once part of a thousand acre farm settled in the 1840's, Le Temps Perdu provides 88 acres of beautiful solitude. The historical significance of this region has been recognized as a UNESCO world Heritage site in the form of the The Rideau Canal. A monumental early 19th-century construction covering 202 km of the Rideau and Cataraqui rivers from Ottawa south to Kingston Harbour on Lake Ontario. The landscape is virtually untouched allowing for wildlife habitats to thrive. Le Temps Perdu is located in the Frontenac Arch Biosphere, an UNESCO World Heritage Site with 40% forest and 30% water, FAB has tremendous biodiversity.Our guests are invited to tour Le Temps Perdu on the 6 km trail system either on foot or on horseback. The occasional destination has been incorporated into the stunning landscape to allow for picnics and relaxation. It is a paradise waiting to be explored.
